I’m graduating this semester, how can I be the student who represents the graduating class by making a speech at commencement?
A. Each semester, the Alumni Calumet (PAC) accepts nominations for its outstanding student award. The honoree represents his or her graduating class at commencement and receives a plaque and a $500 monetary award. As the student speaker, the honoree’s role is to accept, on behalf of his or her classmates, the invitation extended by the president of Purdue Alumni Calumet (PAC) to join, in a 3-4 minute speech during the commencement exercises.
