I’m also going to Japan for about one month; but I’ll be visiting my girlfriend and staying at her house for a good portion of the trip. Personally, I am bringing $1000 US. If you haven’t heard yet, traveling in Japan can be VERY expensive. If you want to travel all over, transportation alone may cost into the thousands depending on how much you really want to see. Without knowing your plans its actually pretty hard to determine or advise you on how much you should bring but honestly I would suggest anywhere from $1000 – $5000 US. I think if you stayed at the cheapest hotels, ate at only the cheapest resturants, and were modest on your traveling and shopping, perhaps $1000 is possible for you, but it’s hard to even ima
