When you paste text that you have highlighted in Microsoft Word into WorkTools the “smart quotes” (curly sixes and nines instead of straight quotation marks) confuse the system. This also happens with apostrophes. To avoid this problem, save your document as plain text (.TXT) before you copy text into WorkTools. If there are just a few marks, you could manually change all the “smart quotes” and apostrophes to regular quotation marks within WorkTools.
