Top A. Basically for the same reason as above. If you want to use the computer monitor to see your video, then connect your speakers to the back of the computer. If you want to use an external video monitor, connect your speakers to the DV device (transcoder, camera, deck) that your video monitor is connected to. Some clever folks have built switch boxes to route the audio while others have purchased inexpensive audio mixers to route the audio depending on where they want to hear it from.
