Existing fixed-term contacts will generally be honoured, however if the position has undergone substantial change, the staff member may need to reapply for the role as part of the restructure staffing process. Generally a staff member who is appointed for a fixed term will automatically cease employment on the date specified on the original fixed-term contract of employment unless they are offered a further contract of employment with the University.
