Im currently receiving Social Security. How will accepting this position with the Census Bureau affect my Social Security benefits?

I’m a federal employee and I heard that federal employees will be able to work a second job on Census 2000. Is this true? I thought Federal employees were prohibited from receiving “dual compensation.” Is there an exemption for Census 2000?
