I’m covered by my own/my parent’s health insurance plan. Do I have to purchase the SCU health insurance plan?
No. Purchase of the SCU health insurance plan is only mandatory if you do not have coverage of your own. All Law and undergraduate students are required to carry health insurance and must provide proof of insurance every year by filling out an on-line Health Insurance Waiver Form. Graduate students other than those on F-1 or J-1 visas are the only students who do not have to fill out the insurance form unless they decide to use the Health Center for their medical care.
