I’m confused. Is there an easier line color selection process?
Yes, we recommend you start off with 2 orange and 2 yellow. Don’t worry about direction of rotation. You will begin to experience the benefits of AERO-FLEX® line blades. Then as you become more familiar with them you can adjust and select to your preference. For general cutting with a slight helpful updraft and a cleaner cutting quality you can use 2 orange and 2 yellow, alternately mounted. It makes no difference if your trimmer turns clockwise or counterclockwise. 13) Are there benefits to 2 yellow with 2 orange? Yes, with the same colors mounted opposite each other, will create 2 lines leading with the sharp side at a downward pitch while 2 will lead with the blunt side with an upward pitch. The result is a fairly aggressive cutting action with a helpful updraft that helps lift grass into the cutters for a clean, precise cut.
