Im beginning to suspect that my Ph is actually higher than my test indicates and have ordered a high pH test kit. Would lowering the pH be good for the fish?

< A pH of 7.8 is at the upper end of their range. I would not try and change it unless I was prepared to continue to do this for the long haul. Try and keep the water clean and see how they do with out any pH modification.> I understand from other writings on the website that a consistent pH is most important. However, if I’m able to condition the water in such a way as to make the fishes more comfortable, I’m happy to do it. If yes, what’s the best way to proceed? Have I chosen the proper diet for the fish?
