Im an owner-operator. Does the DOT require me to complete Supervisor Reasonable-Suspicion Training?
No. As long as you are an owner-operator who does not hire or supervise other safety-sensitive employees, you are not required to complete DOT Supervisor Reasonable-Suspicion training. Your requirements may change as your business changes. If you hire a driver who will be under your supervision, you will need to complete one hour of controlled substances and one hour of alcohol training as required by 49 CFR Part 382.603.
