Im an AT&T customer, why does mMode work but my syncing does not?

Some AT&T phones are shipped with general internet access disabled by default. To fix this: • On your phone go to Services–>Settings–>Connection Settings–>Active Service Setting Select one of the blank settings such as “Set 3” • From the Connection Setting menu select Edit Active Service Setting. Scroll down to Bearer Settings. Select it. • Under GPRS Access Point enter proxy. • Under IP Address enter 10.250.250.250. • Go back to the main menu. Syncing should now work in the application. If you need to use mMode again you will have to change your Active Service Setting back to mMode.
