Since certification is time sensitive, additional time cannot be granted in order to obtain additional CEUs. The most common mistake is assuming that attendance at large meetings is the only way to obtain CEUs. The tendency is to overlook opportunities such as in-house training, review of FDA Regulations and AATB Standards, in-services, attendance at Grand Rounds, and OSHA training, as a few examples of additional opportunities to earn credits.If you still find yourself a few CEUs short, other agency websites such as www.RN.com,www.cdc.gov,www.medceu.comor www.netce.comoffer on-line courses that may be acceptable alternatives. Many on the RN and CDC sites are offered free of charge. AATB is working on methods to provide online learning opportunities through its website, as well.
