For anyone considering the purchase of new tires, if you are thinking of getting tires in a different size than what came on the car originally, you should check out the Miata.net Tire Size Calculator: http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html All you do is select the basic dimensions of your original or “stock” tires and then select the dimensions of the tires you are considering as replacements and the calculator will provide all the critical info, right down to how many revolutions the new tires will turn per mile compared to the originals and what your actual speed is when your speedo reads 60 mph (sorry, results not avail in kph). This is an extremely useful website that our members have used countless times. The only information it can’t provide is how wide your new tires can be before you risk rubbing the sidewalls on the fenders or suspension components (I’ve had no problems with my 225 Toyos for example).
