Im a student from another university, and Id like to take summer courses at Carleton while Im in Ottawa for the summer. How do I go about doing that?
In general, you apply for permission to take a course as a special student (a student not in a degree program at Carleton) by submitting a Special Student Application form to the registrars office. However, summer course enrollment is generally restricted, and it is not usually possible to accommodate special students. You should check first with the department offering the course(s) in which you are interested. In the case of ELEC courses, the chances of accommodation are practically nil. Information on deadlines, fees, etc are available through the main Carleton website.
