The RNLI has agreed to fund any balance that you would have been required to pay (apart from any government funding or insurance company subsidy that would apply to you, as well as the VAT). For example, if your boat is registered in an area that is not currently covered by government funding, the RNLI would pay this part. In essence, you will get the equipment free of charge, apart from the VAT, which you should be able to reclaim.
