If you are a customer of an ING Bank which is seated in the Netherlands, such as ING Direct N.V. or ING Bank N.V., and you hold a savings account at one of the branches in a EU country, your money falls into the scope of the Dutch Deposit Guarantee Scheme. ING Direct has branches in the United Kingdom, France, Spain and Italy. If you are a customer of an ING Bank which is seated outside of the Netherlands, such as ING-DiBa in Germany, your money is covered by the local Deposit Guarantee Scheme.
