Im a construction company currently using QuickBooks Pro. Do I need to purchase QuickBooks Premier: Contractor Edition?
The Contractor Edition does have features that address your industry-specific needs. However, unless you need those specific features and unless you genuinely intend to use these features in your company over the next 12 months, there is no need to spend the additional money to get QuickBooks Premier. The best contractor edition features, in my opinion, are Cost to Complete reporting, expiration tracking for your subcontractor’s worker’s compensation and liability insurance, and advanced job cost reporting.
