Im a canadian citizen, can I live with him in US without nonimmigrant visa?
The following is for informational purposes only and is not legal advice, please consult a qualified immigration lawyer to discuss your matter. Although as a Canadian citizen you do not need a Visa, you will need to be in L2 status. L2 status may be obtained by an L1 visa holder’s spouse and minor children. An L2 status holder may remain in the US as long as the L-1 visa holder remains in legal status. An L2 status holder may change his or her status in the US. An L2 status may not be gainfully employed while in the US. If you plan to live with your husband in the US, you will need to apply at a US Port of Entry (POE) to obtain your L2 status. Please consult a local immigration attorney to determine what documentation you wil need to present at the POE in order to obtain the status which will result in the issuance of a Stamp in your Canadian Passport as well as an I-94 Arrival/Departure Record.
