Im 17 weeks pregnant, when is the best time to start shopping for baby?
With my first, I started picked up generic things like onesies and socks at the end of my first trimester. Then I spaced it out and bought a few things here and there as I found good sales. It is easier to shop once you know what you are having. Consider asking a good friend to throw you a shower, especially if this is your first. There is a ton you will need. Look for sales and stock up on things like diapers, wipes, onesies, bottles (if needed), etc. Right now is a good time to shop for summer stuff if you are willing to take a guess what size baby will wear next summer. Probably in the 6-9 month range.
You can start shopping whenever you like! I started after my 18 weeks ultrasound, because that’s when I knew bubs was all healthy (and what gender he is!) but now I look at some of the things I bought, and don’t like them anymore! I’d start with things buying things like diapers, lotions etc all those toiletry style items, it will be more handy and you’ll have more time (and money) to go nuts with all the baby clothes and toys later on.
