IGN FAQs: Whats your favorite Pokemon game of all time? Are there any Pokemon games that you don like?
Abigail Biddenback: They all have their strengths and weaknesses R/B/Y were pioneers (to say the least), yet the graphics were beyond horrendous and the actual quest was over far too quickly. G/S/C took a good thing and made it better; with a longer in-game quest, the advent of breeding and held items and a whole slew of new Pokemon to choose from, this is most likely the series I would suggest for someone new to the world of Pokemon. Ru/Sa have given us even more to digest, such as the new 2-on-2 battle system and the limited ability to tailor a specific Pokemon’s stats. I feel the exclusion of most of the older Pokemon in Ru/Sa has really hurt that game’s appeal and diversity, though, so my favorite is probably Gold I’ve spent far more time with that cartridge than any other, after all, and all my kick-ass level 100’s are still stored on it. The only Pokemon game I can honestly say I disliked is Hey You, Pikachu! for the N64. Talk about milking a cash cow for all it’s worth. All that
