IGN FAQs: So what can writers do to better protect their FAQs?
CVXFREAK: Print a hard copy of your FAQ and date it by mailing it to yourself. Either that, or take a picture of the guide next to a copy of the current day’s newspaper. That way, there’s no mistaking the date of the FAQ. If possible, you should also try and copyright the FAQ using your real name somewhere in the document. You have to do everything you can to protect your work. When someone tries to copy your FAQ and claim it as your own, it doesn’t feel good. Believe me, I know.
