IGN FAQs: Any words of advice for the new writers?
Devin Morgan: Definitely start small. Don’t make your first FAQs for big, popular, recently released games because you will be overwhelmed. When a new game comes out and sells well, there will be thousands upon thousands of people looking for help with the game, and if you choose to write your first FAQ for that game, chances are it won’t be very good work, and the hate mail you receive from readers through e-mail might be too much to handle. People are looking for quality work, so don’t waste their time if you’re not prepared to do a good job and follow through by writing the most complete guide you can.
