Iggy/Rainbow: Beanie Jeanie, what is going on with Iggy and Rainbow?
When Rainbow the chameleon, and Iggy the Iguana, first came on the market in Jan 98, the colorful lizard with a spine on its back has the name Iggy, on both heart and body tags. The bluish lizard has the name Rainbow on both its tags. Soon after, Ty officially announced that they do have Iggy and Rainbow mixed up and their tags will be switched. There are sightings of Rainbow and Iggy with newly corrected tags with the colorful one having the rainbow tag and the bluish one having the Iggy tag in April 98. But of course the controversy doesn’t stop there because many naturalists believe Iggy and Rainbow are anatomically incorrect.
