If youve been vaccinated with Gardacil do you still have to have a Pap Smear to get Birth Control? ?
usually you dont need a pap for starting birth control, usually they just ask you common questions like what reasons you want to start birth control. I am 16 and a half and I had talked to my fam doc and she said that you dont need a parents permition to start, it will be on ur doctors record though, if you dont want to go to the family doctor, you could go to a teen center (its a place for teens, they help out, they also can prescribe you birth control) Also my dad doesn’t like birth control cause he hates pills so I kind of went behind his back and I am on birth control.. he doesn’t know. Also I wouldn’t worry to much about your parents find out. I mean if you told ur mom for the reasons why rather than preventing pregnancy, she might say thats fine.. I lost my mom so I couldn’t have told her but I am on it cause my period was 7 days long and really heavy… I had to change 1-1 1/2 hours and I had really bad cramps.
