No. This is a widely misunderstood situation, perpetuated by people continuing this wives’s tale that comes from people shaving. When you shave your hair (like on your arm) it cuts the hair down to the skin and makes the new end very blunt. When the hair grows back out it will be thicker than hair that has has time to split and the usual wear and tear of rubbing up against things, It also might appear darker because it is new (sometimes hair lightens from sunlight like that on your head). So correlation is not causation in this situation!! Nair is a great choice because it dissolves the hair from the follicle, therefore taking longer to grow back (like an extra week) and it does not have the blunt end of the hair as shaving causes. If you naturally have dark hair (especially with light skin) then you may notice the hair coming back in as a little darker (because it is new, not because you removed it) but most likely not.
