If you quit drinking beer, will the fat stomach go, just as easy as it came ?
I quit drinking totally about a month ago, and I’ve lost over 20lbs! The thing to remember is that beer has about 100 calories per can, more if you’re drinking the good stuff. Those are mainly carbs, and they’re empty, empty calories. If you’re drinking 7 or 8 beers you might as well just sit down and eat a large loaf of bread! But in order to get rid of that beer belly you’ll need to burn off calories. The best way to do that is with aerobic exercise, such as jogging, doing the bike, swimming, roller blading, etc. Lifting weights will increase your metabolism so you burn calories faster. But if you just want to lose the gut cutting out the beer and doing more cardio is the simplest solution. I do anywhere from 1/2 to a full hour on the stationary bike nightly, and I’ve modified my diet to cut out all the nutritionally empty calories. But the beer was the big one. I was drinking about an 18 pack a weekend, so I know what it’s like to go from heavy beerhound to teetotaler! Good luck.
