If you had the choice to either kill George Bush or Salman Rushdie, who would you pick first?
George Bush was an idiot definately but then he was merely a figurehead to the administration. As far as my understanding,under Islamic law blashemy is punishable by the hadud punishments,specifically death.If anyone is in any doubt about that there is a very good talk by the notable scholar anwar al awlaki called the dust will never settle down that goes over the hadiths that deal with the topic,events in sirah and finally the consensus among the four schools of thought and statements by ibn taymiyyah.Its on youtube even:) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JB2sG-Ouo… Therefore it is my opinion that salman rushdie is far worse and should be dealt with expediently.
