If you had sex six months ago, and no Pap test, and youre still fine, and havent had sex since, do you need a Pap test?
Yes. Most sexually transmitted infections (STI) have NO symptoms. Cervical cancer often has NO symptoms. Once a woman becomes sexually active it is important that she get a Pap test every year. A Pap test only tests for cervical cancer. If you are sexually active you should be getting tested for STI and HIV at least once a year. You will have to ask for these tests. If you do not feel comfortable going to your regular doctor please go to a teen clinic. You do not need an appointment or your parents permission. Checking down south is a great idea, Peckie, but you actually have to get tested if you want to know for sure whether you have an STI or not.
