If you escrow, it is recommended to contact lenders to evaluate whether a homeowner needs to deposit more money in their escrow to avoid a shortage at the end of the year?
If a property owner was escrowing for annual assessments fees along with their other property taxes through their mortgage company in the past, then this fall of 2009 the mortgage company is receiving one less bill (the association bill) since The Woodlands Township’s property tax is included on the J.R. Moore Jr. property tax bill. It is recommended homeowners call their mortgage company and review their escrow accounts. The associations sent a letter to the mortgage companies (over 1,000 companies) to let them know about the transition, and many of them have spoken with the staff and understand what’s happened.
