Probably because masculine women are more notable than feminine women…simply because they’re unusual..Thus, you’ll tend to notice the butch types but not the femme types. Thus, your assessment that lesbians are attracted to butch women is skewed. My own personal opinion is that each person is actually a combination of masculine and feminine traits…everyone, whether male-identified or female-identified, has their opposite sex “side” (as in a man saying “i do have my feminine side”)… Regardless of their sex (what’s between the legs), people have varying combinations of personality and identity traits which are more “masculine” (like an assertive or aggressive atitude) or more “feminine” (like a more nurturing atitude). So, a butch lesbian might find the aggressivenss of another butch lesbian attractive, or she might find the nuturing of a more femme lesbian attractive.. It’s more about traits than gender.
