Personally if consenting adults want to form a polyamorous union, I think they should probably have the right. The main reason not to allow it is the religious belief of certain people, which appears to be a clear example of violating separation of church and state. There are however real hurdles for allowing polyamorous marriage that do not exist for gay marriages. All the present laws and social structures set up regarding marriage are written with two people in mind.
