If we purchase new mics will it help with our sound and feedback problems?

The answer here is maybe. The truth is probably not. If the mics you have are of a decent quality then the problem likely lies elsewhere. Shure SM58 and 57’s are workhorse mics. They are used worldwide. Does that mean they are the best? No. But they are certainly usable and still favored by many artists. Anyone using mics such as these (or similar) and having problems likely will see no real benefit by swapping to something else. Only when the true problem is found and cured will the nuances of different mics be apparent. On the other hand, if you are using extremely cheap mics as can be found in mall electronic stores and discount electronic catalogs then that can be the source of problems. Their gain before feedback can leave something to be desired and their response is rarely uniform. They are rarley close to the quality of something like the workhorse SM58. Of course if corners were cut in buying microphones then it is likely corners were cut elsewhere in system design and purchas
