If we are Gods children and He loves us, why does He allow us to suffer?
Suffering, pain, wars, death, and all things along that line are a result of sin. We live in a sin cursed world, and all of us are sinners. God has told us that He is going to allow this to happen for a time. It is the natural consequence of sin, and God wants us to learn to hate sin. If God were to step in and stop all bad things from happening, we would only learn that we could do anything we want and nothing would happen. We would not learn to hate sin because there would be no consequences for it. We would not learn to love God and His ways because we wouldn’t need either one, because everything would be going fine. When God returns, He will put away all pain and suffering, and when everything here on earth is done, God has promised to wipe away every tear.
You’re confusing earth with heaven. We live on this physical earth where physical laws rule. That means if we stick our hand in fire then it burns. That means if we’re born with a cancer gene we may get cancer. It means if we’re born to poor parents we’ll live our childhood in poverty. ETC…. This isn’t heaven. Bad things happen to good people. That’s physical stuff. God never promised us heaven on earth. He never promised us an easy life. Look at Jesus’ life. He was murdered in a horrible way. Take a look at Mary. The bible said God found favor with her but she suffered so much when her precious son died on the cross. Yet, God found favor with her. This just goes to show God never intended for you or I to live a fantasy life. Bad things happen to God’s children. He promised us salvation, heaven and eternal life. Isn’t that enough? This isn’t our home, we’re pilgrims passing through.
