This is an insight to the future of higher education. There should be a legally binding scheme set up whereby 17 year olds- the year before they sit their A levels- apply to companies for a job in 4 years time, and the company agrees to sponsor them through university on a course that they, the employers, deem suitable for their future needs. It could be anything, though I doubt that worthless degrees like Media Studies would gain many sponsors, and if the Student achieves a set grade every “term” then the company continues to sponsor. If the grades are poor—– bye! I would be willing to bet that there would not be any protests then by those who have no right to protest, due to the payment of zero taxes.
