An embedded webserver makes camera installation easier by providing a no-mess field of view; however it doesn’t allow easy image processing of the video image data. Image processing can be used to build new applications using IP camera infrastructure. By this we mean building applications that go beyond just viewing a video image. jipCam makes the raw image data available using a Java stream parser, or using the Java Media Framework.
