If there are problems with some of our standard educational programs running on Apple’s new Leopard Operating System, why doesn’t the district just stick with the older Tiger OS?
Frankly, we wish we could do so at least until the software vendors have had a full opportunity to write updates for their products and until Apple has had six or more months to work out bugs with the new OS. Unfortunately, Apple’s new OS release coincides with firmware updates to its new computers that don’t allow for installing the older OS on the new machines. We have no choice. In the long run it’s better that our new MacBooks have the newest OS. In the short term, we face glitches.
