On the internal SATA hard drive, there is a special “recovery partition” that can be used to return the FLEX-5000C back to it’s factory default settings. The recovery procedure can be easily run by the user or, as always if you do not feel comfortable doing it, you can return the FLEX-5000C to the FlexRadio System Service department and have it done for a nominal fee. If the system becomes corrupted either by viruses, user installed programs, Internet worms or any other process, the standard recovery procedure will be to reinitialize the system back to the factory default settings. FlexRadio Systems can not be responsible for any data loss in these circumstances, so doing regular system backups to external media is a “best practice” that is strongly encouraged.
