Student unions on all three campuses provide additional medical and dental insurance plans for all full- and most part-time students. These plans cover costs such as prescription eyewear, prescription drugs and dental care. If the student in your family is already covered for such costs by your medical insurance plan or another plan (not OHIP), the student may opt out of the student union plan. Students must apply to opt out during a specific period at the beginning of the semester; they are then issued a refund for that portion of their student fees which goes towards health and dental insurance. For more information on additional health insurance and opting out, visit the website of the appropriate student union: Full-time undergraduates on the St. George and UTM campuses are represented by the University of Toronto Students’ Union (UTSU). Full-time undergraduates at UTSC are represented by the Scarborough Campus Students’ Union (SCSU). Part-time undergraduates on all three campuses
