Sometimes things are cheaper online. That is why a lot of people shop online. Companies want to entice the buyer by advertising the same product cheaper online than in the stores. In order to take advantage of the special sales price, chances are the purchase MUST be made online. Usually online prices are just that. Which basically means a retailer does not have to honor the website price. If you go to an authorized dealer, he is probably trying to make a profit by selling the phone at a higher price. The actual store would be the best way to go in this situation. Remember, phones change constantly. The phone you buy this month will be sold in a few more months at a lower price…as phones are constantly being upgraded. I just went through it with T-Mobile. The store had the same phone as the website but at a higher price. It was suggested to me by the sales representative to buy the phone online as the website had the same phone for $60 less.
