The transmission of Caller ID to all landline numbers throughout the country is not perfect. It is always possible that the Caller ID of the sending phone can get dropped as the call moves through different switches throughout the country. If the Caller ID is dropped, the number of the originator will not be displayed or call blocking may prevent the call from being delivered.
