If the episode receives a Low Utilization Payment Adjustment (LUPA), how are adjacent episodes determined?
Since LUPAs reflect the services that were provided during a full 60 day episode, HHAs should use the 60th calendar day of the prior episode to determine whether the subsequent episode is adjacent.
