Any damage to Sharcote will make a subsequent mark in the cured concrete poured against it. However, if concrete appearance is not a factor, reasonable gouges in the coating should not limit Sharcote’s performance or it’s durability. To limit damage to the substrate, a release agent should be heavily applied to the damaged area to ensure a good release from cured concrete.
