If the child refers on the reflexes, but passes tympanometry and OAEs, should the child return to the medical home first for rescreen?
First request BSC project personnel review the reflexes results to determine reliability of the screen. If reflexes are truly absent, the child is suspect for auditory neuropathy and needs an immediate referral to JTC audiology. If the reflex screen does not appear to be accurate, rescreening at the medical home will be recommended.
