If the Bible says nothing about stem cell research or cloning, how do Christians know they e wrong?
It always cake to find some passage in the Bible to support your position, whatever it might be. The Bible is an ink-blot test. After all, “God hates gays,” and yet even King David had a boyfriend. I’m tempted to do it myself just to show how easy it is – although I’d rather find passages that support stem cell research and cloning, since that would just be a lot cuter. E.g. – You might describe the Creation of Eve as a sort of “cloning” from Adam’s rib – and before you call this a ridiculous leap, reflect that Simpson’s introduction of chloroform as a surgical anesthetic was criticized on “religious” grounds until somebody pointed out that God had caused Adam to sleep before removing that rib. PS – Look at the great “imacatholic’s” answer – “The Bible never says that slavery is evil.” Well, no, it doesn’t. In fact, it specifically endorses slavery. Cf. Leviticus 25:44-46, Exodus 21:2-11 (which includes rules for selling your daughter as a sex slave), Ephesians 6:5, etc etc etc. I’m so
