Yes and maybe. Yes, they would not have been able to win the American Revolution without the help of the French and other allies. So if that is what you’re driving at, then it is a yes. But… Whether they would still be British is an unanswerable question. A lot of other things could have occurred between 1776 and today that could have made the British colonies not be British anymore. One could probably venture a guess that what is today the United States would have ended up like Canada, but even that is no sure thing. Future rebellions, economic crisis, the Napoleonic Wars, Industrial Revolution, battles with the Native Americans that would have played out differently… a lot of things could have made it so that the British bailed or the area was conquered by others or just rebelled at a different time when they had more people and resources.
