It may be scary, but in the long run it’s really a good thing. Once they’re licensed, young people have to face winter driving about six months of the year in Wisconsin. if they learn how to respond to snowy and icy conditions under supervision ( a certified instructor can use the extra brake and help steer in crisis), they will have the skills to handle challenges the weather presents. Our position is this: a driver who has learned to be smooth on the gas, the steering wheel and the brakes in the winter is a better driver overall.
