If protien is so bad for dogs then why are the highest quality dog foods are loaded with protiens?
A; Protien is not so bad, while it is very important to dogs. Being an energy producing nutrient , it has an important role in providing Amino Acids(building blocks of tissues). Dogs being simple stomach animal, require good source of protien to meet their Amino Acid requirement. But additional protien supplementation is not required in working dogs as it is compensated by increased food intake.
