If my parents/carers or partner do not wish to supply household income details to the University, am I still able to apply for a Bursary?
We cannot assess your Bursary without this information. If your parents/ carers or partner have requested that their income information not be directly shared with us by the SLC you will not automatically be able to claim. However if you receive a Maintenance Grant and your family household income is under £39,780 you can bring a copy of your Financial Assessment letter from the Local Authority or SLC to the Student Services Helpdesk when you arrive at the University, this will allow us to assess your eligibility for a Bursary based on the level of Maintenance Grant you receive.
