If my drivers license is suspended and I neglect to get an Occupational Drivers License or to appeal the ALR decision, then what are the penalties for driving while the license is suspended?
This type offense, known as Driving While License Suspended (DWLS), is a misdemeanor and carries with it the possibility of 3 days up to 6 months incarceration and $100.00 to $500.00 fine for each violation, unless it is enhanced to a Class A Misdemeanor. Then the penalties will increase. See number 12 above to avoid this by getting an Occupational Driver’s License and/or appealing the ALR decision.
