If my baby has asthmatic bronchitis, do I stop giving formula milk and breastmilk because it causes mucus?

It’s actually a myth that milk causes mucus, and that it causes asthmatic symptoms. Studies have proven it doesn’t. So no, it’s not a problem to continue giving your baby milk, either formula or breastmilk. Though breastmilk is better for your baby and is connected to helping bronchitis and the such in the long-term. If you are adding any cereal to your baby’s milk though, then you’re going to want to stop that. Not saying you are, but it seems like a lot of mothers add cereal to their baby’s bottle without understanding that breathing problems like you’re describing is connected to asphyxiation on small bits of that cereal.
